Consolidating data centers while maximizing energy efficiency

A major e-commerce company needed to consolidate its existing data centers and still have room for growth. Despite the project’s massive scale, the new data center could consume no more than 50% of the company’s global power usage.

We held numerous strategy and design meetings with the company’s IT leaders to conceive and create a cohesive solution that met the company’s exacting specifications for cost effectiveness, modularity, and flexibility.

Customized solutions included highly customized server racks, one of which is capable of holding 3,500 pounds – more than double the common maximum load of 1,500 pounds. We also commissioned specialized power equipment from Raritan and worked with Bayside to provide a highly customized pod containment solution to meet the company’s aggressive PUE targets.
